Welcome to our newest WHA member: Central Coast Local Health District

Women’s Healthcare Australasia (WHA) is pleased to announce that Central Coast Local Health District NSW has recently joined our membership community and we would like to warmly welcome them.

Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD) provides public health services to the communities of  Central Coast Council. Located between Sydney and the Hunter Valley the Central Coast is a popular coastal region attracting young families. The region experiences a higher than average population growth particularly in the Wyong Shire.

The region is served by two acute hospitals – Gosford and Wyong. Gosford Hospital is the principal referral hospital, Wyong Hospital is a major metropolitan hospital while Woy Woy Hospital and Long Jetty Healthcare Centre provide sub-acute care.

More than 155 maternity healthcare services now belong to the WHA community, representing 83% of public births in Australia

This depth of membership ensures that our community brings a rich array of expertise and experience to the mutual learning & sharing that occurs through our benchmarking, networking and events – we are thrilled to welcome Central Coast Local Health District as they become a valuable member of our community.
