This two-day event offers a valuable opportunity to connect with peers who understand the unique opportunities and challenges of delivering maternity care. Together, we will exchange insights, share experiences, and strengthen our collective passion for making a real difference to women and their families. This event highlights how benchmarking and collaboration are driving improvements in the quality, safety, and experience of maternity services nationwide.

Covering unmissable topics that make this a must-attend event, such as:

  • Benchmarking for Better Outcomes:
Valuable insights into maternal characteristics, clinical interventions, outcomes, and newborn indicators—empowering teams to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Reducing Clinical Variation
Applying quality improvement and implementation science supports consistent, evidence-based care and meaningful system-level change.
  • Partnering with Women:
Listening to women’s experiences and co-designing tools such as decision aids and feedback systems ensures maternity care is respectful, informed, and woman-centred.
  • Enhancing Care for Women with Complex Needs:
Implementing innovative models to support women with medical, psychological, or social complexities during pregnancy and postpartum.
  • Workforce Innovation and Sustainability:
Supporting midwives, building capacity, and addressing challenges in remote and regional maternity services.
  • Education and Simulation:
Embedding point-of-care learning and translational simulation to improve safety, staff confidence, and care quality.
  • Sustainable and Environmentally Responsible Care:
Reducing the environmental footprint of maternity services, including rationalising nitrous oxide use, to promote greener healthcare.
