Women’s Healthcare Australasia (WHA) is the peak body for hospitals and healthcare services caring for women and babies in Australia. Our membership has been growing rapidly in recent years as more and more maternity and women's health services across the country see the benefits from networking with their peers. I invite you to explore our site, learn more about Women’s Healthcare Australasia and join in the excitement around our future directions.
Women’s Healthcare Australasia prides itself on existing for its members. We help staff in a variety of different roles within our member health services to connect with their peers, to share ideas on best practice care, to share tools and information, and to provide one another with support in facing common challenges.
WHA supports hospitals and health services to achieve excellence through 4 key strategies:
- Benchmarking performance in relation to both clinical outcomes and administrative efficiency
- Professional networking through a rich array of Special Interest Groups
- High quality clinical forums and face to face networking meetings
- Advocacy to governments & the media on a wide range of issues of interest to our members
On behalf of the Board of WHA, I would like to acknowledge and thank all of our member hospitals and healthcare services who so actively engage in our Special Interest Groups, and who so generously share information, advice, tools and resources with other WHA members. This collaboration is 'gold' as we all wrestle with various challenges and strive to continuously improve our own services to women and their families.
If your health service would like to join WHA and benefit from our rich networking and benchmarking programs, all you need to do is phone our office on 02 6175 1900 and one of our friendly staff will be only too happy to assist you.
