WHA is a national not-for profit association incorporated in the ACT.
The Constitution outlines the eligibility for membership, the conduct of membership meetings, the formation and powers of the Board of Directors, and a range of related corporate governance matters
WHA’s constitution was last revised and updated in November 2010.
WHA follows contemporary corporate governance practices outlined in a Governance Charter that is reviewed by the Board annually. The Governance charter has 3 main sections which outline:
- the roles responsibilities and accountabilities of the Board and its Directors;
- the role, responsibilities and accountabilities of the Chief Executive Officer;
- a range of organisational policies related to membership, conduct, communications, sponsorship, marketing, risk management and audit.
