Our Neonatal Unit provides the only Level 6 tertiary neonatal service North of Brisbane. It has 12 NICU and 22 Special Care Nursery cots and coordinates the Neonatal Retrieval/Transport Service for the North QLD area. If you would like to work somewhere that received the 2017 L’il Aussie Prems Foundation annual vote for best NICU in Australia and is undertaking landmark study/research then this role is your chance. Applications will be accepted from senior level Psychologists able to provide evidence-based, developmental psychological assessment for young children (aged 1-5 years) who have been patients of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the Growth and Development Clinic.


About the role
Provide developmental psychological assessment and support the development of infant attachment processes for patients of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and its associated outpatient clinics, working within a multidisciplinary team.


Applicants must possess a four year degree in psychology from an accredited tertiary institution and current registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (AHPRA).
Possession of, or current enrolment in a Masters or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited tertiary institution would be highly regarded.

  • Base salary range of $51.28 to $55.18 p.h. (HP4)
