Open Consultation – Collaborative Response to Inform the Development of a Stillbirth National Action Plan

The Australian government is developing a National Action Plan to reduce stillbirths by 20% over the next three years. To assist the development of the National Action Plan, the Minister for Health will lead a roundtable of stakeholders on the 12th of February, 2019. Stillbirth CRE and partners are preparing for the roundtable meeting to ensure the National Action Plan can provide the best outcomes for women and their babies. Stillbirth CRE would like to hear from both individuals and organisations who are interested in providing feedback and input into the developments of actions that will be used to inform Parliamentary roundtable discussion in February.

The consultation period to contribute to this national response has now opened, and the submission timeline is outlined below.

Consultation will be undertaken in the followings ways;

  1. Participation in one or more working groups to address the specific priorities as outlined in the Senate Select Committee report, and/or;
  2. Submission of an action template on behalf of an organisation;
  3. Open consultation inviting feedback from parents and the wider community.

If you would like to participate in one or more of these groups or are considering submitting a suggested action against the priorities, please inform the Stillbirth CRE by COB Friday 18th January 2019 via the phone number or email address listed below.  Details of the specific priorities, and the document drafting process can be found here
