We're seeking a Clinical Midwife to join our Maternity Services team based at the Birth Centre in Townsville. Our team works to support and empower women based on our model of mutual respect with an emphasis on safety for mother and baby.
About your opportunity
Provide antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal caseload care to 40 women per year. Provision of midwifery care, support and education to women and their families, through the provision of best practice and quality midwifery care.
- Bachelor of Midwifery + current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Demonstrated clinical skills in IV cannulation, water immersion in labour and waterbirth, perineal suturing and speculum examination.
- Midwifery Model of Care – continuity of care caseload model working within the local agreementas per Nursing and Midwifery Award. Appointees will be required work on call and will benefit from an annualised salary.
- 'C' class motor vehicle licence.
Generous remuneration package of up to $9,654 p.m. comprising salary range of $3535.50 to $3785.80 p.f. (Nurse Grade 6, Band 1), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation. In addition, appointees will have the opportunity to work under the Caseload Midwifery industrial agreement which includes an annualised salary with 35% loading and six (6) weeks recreation leave.
