The first 2000 days are critical to physical, mental and social development and to optimising the life trajectory of women and their families. The Queensland Clinical Senate Meeting Report - The First 2000 days: The Opportunity of a Lifetime recommendations parallel the investment we have made in co-designing the CAHOOT Framework for Improving Life Trajectory of Priority Populations at a local level through collaboration and cross-sectoral partnerships. The CAHOOT Framework for Improving Life Trajectory of Priority Populations offers individual or collective opportunities to measure outcomes at five separate time points from preconception to age 5 years.

Parkville Electronic Medical Record Diversity and Inclusion Project
Leading Thinkers Series
The Parkville Electronic Medical Record Diversity & Inclusion Project run by the Parkville Precinct, was a 12-month initiative that updated patient systems to capture gender identity, legal sex, sex at birth, sexual orientation, pronouns and chosen name in the EMR. Hospital team members could then access this information to better support and provide care for patients who are members of the LGBTIQA+ community, improving safety, wellbeing and the consumer experience. This project is the first of its kind in Victoria where a collective of health services has come together and improved its medical records to better meet the needs of the LGBTIQA+ community. Our presentation will highlight the comprehensive implementation, delivery, and workflow of Diversity and Inclusion in EPIC.

Amplifying the child’s voice when interests elide
Clinical Ethics
In this case-based presentation, we hope to consider the ethical issues arising from the disclosure of life-limiting diagnoses in the paediatric setting. We hope to consider how we might recognise parents with high anxiety wishing to control information flow, and support these families early and better, and then perhaps socialise this approach in institutions and in the wider community.
