Yorke & Northern Midwifery Group: Our Multi-Site Maternity Service - 15 June 2021 at 12:30pm (AEST)
The focus of this web conference is to evaluate a pilot MGP program, across five birthing sites in Country SA. Now 6 months post pilot - How are we going?
The maternity services range across 5 hospitals in the region, Clare, Crystal Brook, Jamestown, Port Pire and Wallaroo. The average births across these sites are 480/year
All women booked with the service will be allocated a known midwife that will work in a continuity partnership with the medical officer at the booked site to deliver care for the continuum of the pregnancy, birth and postnatal period.

Elise Bell – AMUM Yorke & Northern Midwifery Group
I’m a Registered Nurse and Midwife with a passion for midwifery continuity. I have travelled Australia working in lots of different regional and remote maternity services, I love the country and caring for women close to home.
From 2014 I worked as a registered and clinical midwife in tertiary QLD MGP, before jumping at a tree (vine!!) change in October 2019 for my current role.
The Challenges, experience and learnings are barely quantifiable! But I love midwifery and supporting new families, and have a deep drive to provide this care to all women.
