Rural & Regional Maternity Services: MumMoodBooster - Supporting the mental health of mothers living rurally - 20 April 2021 at 12:30pm (AEST)
The focus of this web conference is on the MumMoodBooster online treatment programs for supporting the mental health of mothers living rurally.
How can we best support the mental health of mothers living in rural and regional areas?
MumSpace(link is external) is a one-stop shop of digital resources supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of pregnant women, new mums and their families. Developed by the Perinatal Depression e-Consortium (PDeC), the site offers women unprecedented access to free online psychological treatments, advice and support.
Central to the MumSpace initiative, the MumMoodBooster(link is external) online treatment programs are effective for those with more severe depressive symptoms, and their effectiveness in the real-world setting parallels that of clinical trials. Over 4,000 women have registered for the programs so far, exhibiting significant reductions in depressive symptoms as measured by PHQ-9.
MumMoodBooster offers a Clinician Portal(link is external) whereby health professionals can register, directly refer patients to the treatment program, and track their progress providing the potential to help and provide support for mothers living in regional, rural and remote areas.
